Telford Classic Dirt Bike Show (Feb 18th/19th 2017)

A fantastic time was had at the show this year being very busy on the TLR Transformations stand on both days.

Jim Tennant, who won the Scottish Twinshock Championship last year, was presented with his Honda TLR 250 on the Saturday and was delighted with yet another "Rothmans" for his collection.

Next unveiling was the RTL 250s for famous Honda factory rider, Rob Shepherd, a beautiful 1989 disc brake model, the last

air-cooled mono trials bike made.

Thank you to all the visitors to the show who paid a visit to the stand and look forward to welcoming you again next year.

February 2017

"Time and tide waits for no man" so the saying goes - yes another year has gone by and Telford is upon us! It seems the Classic Dirt Bike Show has come round even quicker this year?

Looking forward to the event, TLR Transformations will be at their usual location, Hall 3 Stand A20, offering the best coffee and biscuits to friends and customers. On display will be examples of the finest engineering from around the globe which have been passionately assembled in Yorkshire for your delight.

This year's Honda gems are a mirror image of 2016 - the same recipients but the models are swapped around!Neither person has yet seen their respective machines so pre-show images are not for publication, apologies. Please come and see the bikes for real next weekend. N.

February 2016

Apologies for not keeping up with the news!

Things have been very hectic since the show at Telford last year, and visiting the P65 Scottish trial at Kinlochleven brought more bike sales. Thanks to you Scottish guys; Stevie and Jim!

Now the Telford show is upon us again - another year flies by - and preparations are fully up to speed for a very special presentation of a TLR 250 which has been "Transformed" over the last six months, for a famous trials rider.

Listen for an announcement on the Saturday morning for the exact unveiling time.

Also on the stand this year is a beautiful RTL 250 which was commissioned by Jim Tennant from Glasgow, and finished to his very exacting standards, matching the TLR 200 he rides, in Rothmans colours.

The TLR Transformations stand will be in the same place as usual - A20 in Hall 3 - where the usual banter, coffee and biscuits are available to our many friends.

Picture below shows Stevie Corry's TLR 200 he collected from Kinlochleven last year.

March 2015

Thank you to all who visited us at the Telford Show, especially those who purchased our products. The new exhaust was much admired as was the complimentary coffee and biscuits! If you wish to purchase or collect any products, our van will be at the Aluminium Works throughout the event.

Following their outstanding achievement at last year's inaugural National Twinshock Championship, the TLR Transformations Team will take to their bikes on the 22 March for the opening round of this year's Championship at Congleton, supported by Kia (UK) Ltd. Results and pictures to follow .....

February 2015

All are welcome on the TLR Transformations stand at the Telford Classic Dirt Bike Show this weekend (Saturday 21 & Sunday 22 February).

Christmas 2014

2014 has been a great year for TLR Transformations and for twinshock trials in particular. The interest really is picking up with the inaugural National Championship having a very successful series of events throughout the country and lots of web based interest in the category, especially on Facebook.

Congratulations to Nigel and Nick achieving a one two finish in the National Clubman Championship, which next year will have the added kudos of Kia Cars (UK) coming on board as series sponsor.

Well done to Fredina and Gerry Minshall on clinching that deal!

Thank you to everyone who have liked our Facebook page and to customers far and wide who have become good friends too. Look forward to seeing you all at the Telford show in February 2015, same stand as this year with some lovely TLR bikes to look at while enjoying a coffee.

Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year to all.

August 2014

A busy month for the TLR Transformations Trials Team, the lads have both been competing, firstly the Red Rose round of the National Twinshock Championship at Padiham, with just one round to go it's looking good for a one two finish for the TLRT team, Hillsborough Club trial concludes the Championship at the end of September.

With 250 pre 65 riders and 60 twinshock competitors, The Manx International Classic 2 day Trial on the Isle of Man is regarded as the top classic trial in the world, and it certainly lived up to that statement.

A fantastic competition with 40+ sections each day covering over 50 miles of the most beautiful terrain steeped in motorcycling history. The highlight being a First Class Award for Nigel with a third place finish in the Clubman category on his first visit to the island. Nick finished 6th.

Full results can be found at www.manxtrials.com

July 2014

Well done to Nigel this month who travelled south to compete the double header Rounds 4 and 5 of the National Twinshock Championship at Butser Lime Quarry and Roy Enticknap's Dunsfold venue. Both trials enjoyed good weather which was indeed a blessing given the terrain, heavy rain on the Friday night left Butser a little greasy but very rideable. The loss of just 2 marks gave Nigel a 4th place finish on his Whitlock Honda TLR 200, speared on by the legend that is Mick Whitlock spectating with his brother Terry, a honour to be riding one of Mick's beautiful creations.

Sunday was thankfully dry and sunny, just under a hour's journey from Horndean to the start field at Ram's Lane complete with an excellent butty van, the trial was a great success. Losing 6 marks which topped the Clubman class made for a very worthwhile weekend, the drive home didn't seem so bad.

With three rounds remaining there's plenty of points up for grabs, Nick now lying in second place to Nigel with the next round at Craven Arms on July 27th.

April 22 2014

Nick and Nigel were in action on Good Friday at the 2nd round of the National Twinshock Championship at Oxford where Nick really did have a good friday and won the Clubman Class C with 9 marks lost. A very good ride in deep, sticky mud which caught out Nigel on the Whitlock many times, dropping over 20 marks, nevertheless, the TLR Transformations boys are leading the Championship overall and look forward to the next double header round in June.

Well done lads!

March 25 2014

The TLR Transformations team riders were in action at the opening round of the National Twinshock Championship at Congleton recently with Nick beating Nigel by 9 marks, see www.twinshockchampionship.org for details. The next round is on April 18th run by Oxford Ixion MCC, if you are attending please come and see us, our TLR test bike is available to ride so please call Nigel to reserve a session.

If there is any of our products you need taking to the trial please call.

The month of May is fast approaching and all classic trials fans will be heading north to Kinlochleven for the Pre 65 Scottish 2 day trial on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd. We will be standing in the paddock with our TLR bikes and parts so again, if there is something you require please call. Cheers, Nigel.

February 2014

Thank you to all our friends and visitors who called by our stand at the Telford Classic Offroad Show. Your kind comments on our TLR Transformations Honda bikes very much appreciated. We had several people interested in taking up the offer of a test ride at our local trials training academy, Bumpy near Leeds, one customer has done just that already, and was highly delighted with the experience - a TLR is now being transformed to his requirements.

The test ride is available to all serious enquiries, at no obligation or cost, please get in touch and have a chat with myself or Nick. Look forward to speaking with you soon. Cheers, Nigel.

We are pleased to announce that we are Northern Stockists of the excellent Mitani TLR tank/seat units. These Mitani units which have been developed and made in the UK will be on show together with a good selection of PJ1 products and many other TLR associated items.
